| about I graduated from the Glasgow School of Art in 2003 with a first class BA(Hons) degree in Fine Art Photography. Since being an artist is only a slowly progressing career I soon started taken on various commissions and set up my own business establishing myself as a professional photographer specialising in documentation of art exhibitions, architecture and interiors. I also offer designing websites for artists / designers Previously I worked as an assistant to a studio photographer (1997) in Munich and occasionally I am an assistant to one of the main architecture photographers in Scotland (2004 - present). I gained valuable knowledge on practical aspects of professional photography. With Martin Ley in Munich I learned to know the studio environment. Andrew Lee (www.andrewleephotographer.com) in Glasgow taught me the fine details in the digital work-flow. Everything from capturing images using a high-end digital large format camera set up to RAW processing of images, Photoshop techniques and colour consistency. service After a meeting discussing the clients requirements the photographs are typically carried out with tripod and high quality DSLR equipment. Much attention is given to careful composition and the lighting situation. Back in the office the images are prepared using a combination of professional RAW processing software and Adobe Photoshop. Usually I work with different exposures of the same frame and combine the best of each in one image. This way guarantees optimum exposure over the whole image. All images are colour managed and supplied as digital files. |
